Select the right type of insurance for your needs. You will need to have insurance that provides for your business in regards to its size, structure and its sector. When you have insurance that provides for the business's specific risks, you pay less and get what you need.

For some businesses, the first type of business insurance that is needed is that of your property insurance. If you own the building that your business is in, you will need to have insurance on that structure. This will protect your business from robbery and fire.

If you lease your building that your business is in, you should not need any type of property insurance on that building. Business insurance here should not be necessary because the building owner should have coverage that protects the building and your business.
